TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR CONFIDENTIAL PERSONAL DATA

1. Use STRONG passwords for all of your accounts, including at least 8 characters with a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

2. Have your computer's firewall turned ON.

3. Use anti-virus software that also scans for spyware and other malware.

4. Encrypt all personal and confidential information.

5. NEVER click on a link in an email. If you think it is legitimate, type it into your browser by hand and be sure.

6. Never give personal information to someone you are not postive needs it.

7. Be careful about what personal information you post on social networking sites. Many are linked and it is easy for someone to collect all of it.

8. If you are in doubt about what to do, check with a security professional.
