1. Before you begin, list all of the security programs installed on your computer.
2. Scan a new computer for viruses.
3. Scan all files and disks loaded on to your computer.
4. Be sure that your firewall is on.
5. Set your operating system and all important programs to auto-update.
6. Download WOT to protect your web browsing and shopping.
7. Consider a PayPal account to avoid exposing your credit card number each sale or to unfamiliar vendors.
8. Backup your data with an automatic program.
9. Do a regular DVD backup to keep off-site
10. Purchase Dr. Dave's "Computer Security Basics" or other security book
